Our High Visibility waistcoats are for use by children day or night, all year round. Every child should have a high visibility waistcoat for walking, cycling, horse riding, walking buses etc. If adults working near traffic wear high visibility waistcoats, then surely children should wear them too!
Children's road safety is the most important benefit of our high visibility waistcoats. Another important benefit is that a child in a hi-viz waistcoat will be more difficult to lose in a crowd.
High visibility waistcoats have a fluorescent yellow background and retro-reflective tape (two bands right around the hi-viz waistcoat plus two 'braces' over the shoulders of the waistcoat. The high visibility waistcoats comply with standard EN 1150:1999
We can supply the right size waistcoat for your child. Hi Viz waistcoat sizes available: Small (children aged 4-6), Medium (child aged 7-9) and Large (children aged 10-12). We can also supply larger sized safety waistcoats for teenagers and adults. Some suppliers may offer you the choice of a single 'one-size-fits-all' high visibility waistcoat, perhaps with one size meant to cover the entire primary school age range, with the waistcoat only fitting properly when the child is about 8 years old!.
The small size high visibility waistcoat can be used for younger children - the children we childmind wear them from age 2 - the photo on the right is of a 3 year old wearing a small high vis waistcoat.
Printing on children's high visibility waistcoats
We are able to arrange for printing on high visibility waistcoats - company logos, school names etc. Please visit our online store for price details.
Waistcoats are usually printed on the upper middle of the back (between the 'braces' of the waistcoat). Children's high visibility waistcoats will obviously have less space for printing than adult size waistcoats - if you let us know which size(s) of waistcoat you would like printed, we can tell you the available space for printing.
Please contact us for details of safety waistcoat printing. Printing on high visibility waistcoats adds up to 8 working days to the delivery time (we use a screen printing company near us).
